Pricing A Quick Word on How We're Different Most photo retouching services operate the same way. They charge excessive minimum prices on simple retouching jobs. There is too much communication overhead, forcing you to re-explain details that they cannot keep track of. In general, nearly all services have accepted the status quo, and the status quo is slow and expensive. We think we have a lot of great ideas about how to make the process of retouching photos more efficient. By efficient, we mean using less time, and likewise, money. For more on how we are more efficient by design, check out Why Claretouch? So what's the bottom line? Well, we don't really have a standard list of prices because we think price lists are misleading. Most retouching services will charge you the minimum price on their list if they take less time to work on your picture than they expected; but if it takes them longer, that minimum price is suddenly only a "quote," and you end up paying more. Either way, price lists are win-win for retouching services. We'd prefer that you win too, and come back to us with more business. "But How Much? Give me a Number!" That being said, minor damage to moderately sized images typically ranges from $10-$30. Most retouching places will charge $40 at a minimum, so already you're off to a good start. Likewise, we don't charge $100 dollars to join together oversize scans just because your final image is 11x14 -- we prefer not to take advantage of customers just because other businesses can and do.
